The power supply was interrupted during the ironing process.
If the power fails during ironing, the heater plate remains engaged on the roller. The item is held in place and there is a risk of it scorching.
Pull the emergency release upwards.
The contact pressure is released.
The item can now be pulled out forwards or downwards depending on how it is positioned in the ironer.
Push the emergency release back down when the power is restored (indicator light in power switch lights up).
You can now continue ironing as normal.
