The dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner is dirty. When you open the lid, you can see that the dust compartment is very dirty. The fan might be defective.
The motor protection filter is fitted incorrectly.
Pull the vacuum cleaner bag out of the holder by the grip.
Lift up the filter frame until it clicks and remove the old motor protection filter. Hold the filter by the clean, unsoiled section to remove it.
Replace with a new motor protection filter.
Close the filter frame.
The dust compartment can, if necessary, be cleaned using a dry duster, brush or, if available, a second vacuum cleaner to vacuum the dust out.
The vacuum cleaner bag is not fitted.
The vacuum cleaner bag was fitted incorrectly.
A third-party vacuum cleaner bag was fitted.
For the avoidance of faults, we recommend using Miele vacuum cleaner bags.
The dust compartment can, if necessary, be cleaned using a dry duster, brush or, if available, a second vacuum cleaner to vacuum the dust out.
Insert the new vacuum cleaner bag into the holder as far as it will go, until you hear the bag click into place.
Leave the vacuum cleaner bag folded up when you take it out of the packet.
If you open the upper part of the vacuum cleaner, make sure that the vacuum cleaner bag is still seated correctly inside the appliance before you close it.
Even when correctly fitted, the vacuum cleaner bag (new or used) can be pulled out of its holder when the upper part of the vacuum cleaner bag holder is opened.
To check that the vacuum cleaner bag is seated correctly inside the appliance, proceed as follows:
Remove the vacuum cleaner hose.
Check the seating of the vacuum cleaner bag through the suction connection.
If the hygiene seal is open, the vacuum cleaner bag is seated correctly in the holder.
If the hygiene seal is closed, seat the vacuum cleaner bag correctly.
The bag holder was pushed down when you fitted the new vacuum cleaner bag. Take hold of the tabs on the vacuum cleaner bag holder under the side ribs in the dust compartment.
Pull the vacuum cleaner bag holder upwards.
The tabs on the vacuum cleaner bag holder lie over the side ribs in the dust compartment.
The dust compartment can, if necessary, be cleaned using a dry duster, brush or, if available, a second vacuum cleaner to vacuum the dust out.
The vacuum cleaner bag holder is significantly bent.
Incorrect operation can result in the vacuum cleaner bag holder being bent significantly out of shape.
As a result, dust will get into the dust compartment despite the vacuum cleaner bag being seated correctly.
To prevent dust from getting into the dust compartment, the vacuum cleaner bag holder must close completely.
The vacuum cleaner bag holder must be replaced.
